United Airlines reports Q4 beat, 2023 EPS expected to quadruple, shares gain 3%

United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL) shares gained more than 3% after-hours as the company reported strong Q4 results and that it expects to quadruple profit in 2023.

Q4 EPS came in at $2.46, better than the consensus estimate of $2.11. Revenue was $12.4 billion, beating the consensus estimate of $12.23B.

For Q1, the company expects EPS to be in the range of $0.50-$1.00, compared to the consensus of $0.25. Total revenue is expected to grow approximately 50% year-over-year in Q1.

For the full year, the company expects EPS to be in the range of $10 to $12, well above the consensus estimate of $6.54. The company expects revenue growth to be in the high teens in 2023.
