Indonesia president: central bank governor nominated due to "vast experience"

JAKARTA : Indonesian President Joko Widodo said on Thursday that he nominated incumbent central bank governor Perry Warjiyo for another term because of his vast experience.

In a television broadcast, he said, “in this global turmoil, we cannot take risks” on posts that hold monetary authority.
